In this video, I will give my reaction to the announcement of the Xbox Developer Direct event coming at the end of January. Games featured at the event will be an update to the Elder Scrolls Online, Redfall, Forza Motorsport, and Minecraft Legends. I know many people are looking forward to these games releasing, and to get an in depth look into the current state of these games...but for me personally, some of these games are of little interest to me. I know that games like Minecraft and Elder Scrolls Online have a huge player base, and everyone is entitled to play whatever games they choose...but games like the Elder Scrolls Online and Minecraft are not games I'm really interested in. I am still on the fence about Redfall, and I am looking forward to see what Forza Motorsport has to offer. I think Xbox might be making a mistake by not including Starfield in this event. This leads me to believe that Starfield is still not ready and might not make an appearance in the 12 month window that Xbox promised their community. That is okay. If the game needs more time for the developers to bring players a polished game, then I'm all for that; however, a release window or a release date would be awesome to hear about at this event. Xbox did say that they had more to say other then the aforementioned games listed. One brilliant idea that Xbox has and is doing is giving Starfield its own showcase. Sony has been doing this for years with its first party titles, and if Starfield is going to be as big as they say, then this game deserves its own showcase. Overall I am very excited about the Xbox Developer Direct Event, and hopefully this event kick starts a year of great games for the Xbox platform.
