In the news recently, a hardware repair shop owner claimed the casing that contains the liquid metal used to cool the PS5 APU spills out and causes damage to the motherboard when the PS5 is configured vertically. Is the PS5 affected by the vertical issue? This claim was apparently taken out of context, and the repair shop owner then took to social media and claimed that this problem can occur only if the PS5 "…had it's shell cracked open for a fix…" and that "…there is no danger in leaving it in a vertical position if you have space to do so…". Naturally, this claim took the interwebs by storm with many people questioning the integrity of the PS5's design. In this video, I discuss my opinion on that matter…PS5 vertical issues are not an issue!
