A video that tells you to insert your Xbox disc into, well, an Xbox. This video appears on basically every Xbox game, and a video not unlike this one appears on Xbox 360 games, too.
Now, why does this show rather than attempting to read the game disc? Simple: because of how the disc is formatted. An Xbox disc is still a DVD; however, any content on the disc is formatted in the XGD1 format, essentially a modified version of UDF intended for Xbox game discs. There is a very small partition of that disc reserved for this short video, which is formatted in the DVD-Video standard format of, well, UDF. Most disc drives and software cannot recognize the XGD1 formatted portion of the disc, so it will end up reading the DVD-Video portion of that disc, leaving this message to be played.
