5Everything has an end... and this is ours.
In this seventh and final episode of our intense XCOM 2 campaign on Legend difficulty and Iron Man mode, we face Operation Steely Prophet, one of the most difficult missions yet. Our objective is to investigate a secret ADVENT facility in South Africa, but the enemy has reinforced the area with lethal defenses.
However, what marks the fate of our campaign is not the brutality of the enemy, but the first and most important casualty of our squad: Julius Spanier. From the beginning of this adventure, we set ourselves a challenge: no casualties. But today, that challenge has come to an end.
Spanier's death represents the final break in our resistance. With this sacrifice, we know that to continue this struggle would be to betray the promise we made to ourselves at the beginning. It is a bitter end, but it is the reality of combat in Iron Man.
Thank you to all who have followed this series. The battle against ADVENT continues, but it will no longer be our fight.
