Aliens took over the world, and we can't stand for that can we? Someone needs to shoot them all - sounds like a job for an all-star team of Offy D characters! Yes, it's Xcom 2 War of the Chosen, and in this series I'll do some commentary on the highlights of this playthrough.

I'm assuming a vague familiarity with what Xcom is and how it works, but I will explain the odd thing here and there are we go along.

Will our brave heroes defeat the aliens, and learn their secret plan?! Time to find out!

I'm playing on Veteran difficulty (normal basically), with Ironman mode enabled (can't reload saves), and have edited various things to make the game a little more crazy.

The short version is that everything does more damage, there are more enemies, and xcom troops are better but don't grow as much when they rank up, so in theory it will be okay to lose higher ranked troops. The aim is to have a faster and more brutal campaign that is still winnable.

I literally just modded the game's .ini files so this isn't an actual mod you can download, unfortunately.

replace yours in C:/[User]/Documents/My Games/XCOM2 WotC/XComGame/ to get my custom changes. Backup old files first!

I'm also using several regular mods: Larger Enemy Pods, Extra Squad Size Upgrades, More Grenades, Full Customization, and some cosmetic things.
