XCOM Chimerian Squadron - Episode 37
Personal question because I feel like it: is YT doing word censorship now?
Didn't they make "YT Kids" before to have goody-kinderly stuff while leaving other content alone with making us do "that video isn't for kids, but not for people above 18" setting?
Then why now they forcefully pull age restriction on major content creators' videos with (relatively) low amount of swear on regular YT?
That's why I hate sponsors/advertisers along with copyrighters - they have downright abusable levels of control over stuff which is rather terrifying!

Hello again.
More of Chimquadron's action... But hey, a purple mission, that ought to give us some enjoyment, right?
Jared's story
====
(Takes place during late February, 2039)
A room showing its age, despite being covered in brand new color paint. Atmosphere is heavy, like the guilt of his past decision. Jared, as well as his two new companions sat on chairs awaiting for some freaky information.
Getting involved with Essentuki was a stupid move.
To get Kelly off the pride horse was funny, but this also meant that Essentuki got more control over things.
Her popularity in Eastern Eurasia reached high levels, with influence leaking into Western Eurasia rather quickly.
A former ADVENT region administrator, now the leader of a massive independent locale. More supporters for her cause than ever.
In fact, through said supporters Essentuki managed to contact Jared yet again. Asking him for another job, as put in her words, "important to all of humanity".
She did mention something about the Great Dreamer's tablets - which was the only thing that really caught Jared's attention. That - and the fact that he would starve to death without any kind of employment or contact with XCOM.
Despite the secrecy which Essentuki stated had to be preserved, Jared did discuss the offer with Bradford. John wasn't too pleased about his friend doing dirty job for the dominatrix, but it could be the opportunity to learn about her goals, to prevent any unforseen consequences to XCOM.
Sitting for twenty minutes, Jared was getting more and more anxious. Boy and girl, his proteges, were poking fun at room's condition.
But Jared knew, that openly saying how outdated the "actual" Bugtown's pre-invasion room looked like would lead the trio to a world of pain.
Essentuki came back. Her look wasn't too pleasant - and with just her glance it was obvious she knew about her offer not being secret. And that Jared was asked to spy on her.
"Spying or not, I have something quite an awe for you",- said Essentuki with some kind of mock towards Jared, confirming his suspicions.
"And I know about the Dimensional Viewer too",- she laughed. Jared got cold feet - that shouldn't be something to joke about.
But she threw him her personal notebook - and indeed, in big Russian font there was a style that was unquestionably the Viewer's, with his "Krei'Purr spawn" pathos quotes.
"You can keep the notebook. You're spying anyway - I won't make your job harder",- Essentuki creepily smiled, with an absolute dread filling Jared's soul.
Whatever she wrote there - that can't be good.
"You want to get rid of him. Well, your goal is intertwined with mine. And to aid you in that goal - allow me to show one rather passionate person who's willing to join you".
Spinning to the door to another room, Essentuki called that person to come inside.
As that person entered the room, Jared, despite not being in contact for quite some time, understood instantly who that person was. But could it be?
"Didn't think I'll see you ever again",- the person said quietly.
Hair let loose to grow almost to leg level, with face not being kept from aging anymore. Two small bows yet still being there as expected. And this disinterested... or, Jared would say, now motivated and rather tickled off angry grimace on a face of a person he thought is quite a bit hotter than majority of people he met.
"Did that thing cripple him too, Jared?",- Tina asked. She did hear about the attack. But what does "too" mean, Jared thought to himself? And him - isn't that...
"Silence means "yes"",- in Tina's words, surprisingly, Jared caught some note of sadness. Ferguson was in some really bad shape after their breakup, but it seems that Tina regretted it too.
"My mistakes caught my dear ("She's obsessed with him!",- Jared thought with alarm) off-guard... and not just him, but Rita and Nina too..."
Tina glimpsed at two proteges of Jared. "Fresh faces, thriving for adventure, being upbeat despite their stupidity... you annoyed me, but I do miss you, Roza".
"Nina and Roza...",- thought Jared. What they meant to Tina?
"Think your stuff, Jared, but if that jerk threatens to kill people closest to me to "purify the world", I'll purify him out of existence first then. I'm in, want it or not".
Jared didn't like Tina, but having an ex-XCOM with him is better than nothing.
"All right",- he agreed.
