I continue trying to shed my burden of shame as a classic UFO/XCOM fan who has only completed the new XCOM on normal, by playing it through on Classic Ironman.

Malfunctioning laser rifles continue to afflict the XCOM A-Team with miniature "Resonance Cascades" as they press further into the alien base, on their most dangerous mission yet. Success means a brief global reprieve from the alien invasion. Failure means death. So far the team has dominated all resistance, but will they keep up the pace or fall at the final hurdle? This week's episode also contains a reference to the poetry of Robert Burns.
