The Raiden mk-II is a guest fighter from the Raiden series of top-down scrolling shooters by Seibu Kaihatsu. In Xeno Fighters R, it is based on the Raiden Fighters series version.
The Raiden mk-II has homing and tracking weapons. It uses the famous Raiden II Bend Plasma as its Laser weapon and Homing Missiles (here called Homing Missile R). Fully powered up, the Raiden mk-II excels in crowd control, and due to its excellent rate of fire on its weapons, it can deal damage constantly. Its weaknesses are its slow movement speed (the slowest in the game), below average damage potential due to its gimmicky weapons, and a slowly deploying Bomber.
This ship uses both Missile and Laser weapons simultaneously. However, each needs to be powered up individually.
