Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Part 10: Assembling Parts for An Artificial Blade
Back into my actual playthrough after I had to compromise with Part 9's video on Core Crystals.
Every now or so in Torigoth, you'll encounter a Mayne Driver at the bounty board. You can beat him for some EXP and such, and even items, including more Core Crystals!
At this point, I'm still trying to get more whereabouts on Nia & Dromarch's whereabouts, but this can quickly be solved by going to an Informant Nopon named Turuni. Pay him, and he'll say that those two are inside of a Titan Battleship that the Ardainians own on Torigoth. This will complete Quest about figuring out where they are.
So go back to Tora's House, and see what can be done to infiltrate that battleship.
----------
Back at the house, while figuring that out, Pyra suggests that the group try to go into the ship from its bottom cargo entrance.
Tora's a big fan of Rex being a Driver. He's always wanted to be one, himself, but he can't bond with Core Crystals because they give him violent nosebleeds.
But Tora didn't give up on this dream! Rather than bonding with a Blade, he built his own Artificial Blade and become a Driver to THAT!
This Blade was first planned by Tora's Grampypon (who is now dead), and Dadapon (who has vanished), but Tora believes that if he finished the Blade, then his Dadapon would come back! All Tora has to do left is buy the remaining parts for his Blade, but he was totally broke and needed Rex for the money to pay for those parts.
It was very hefty sum of Gold, so Rex couldn't exactly fulfill Tora's request. Pyra suggested something she could do to help get the funds... Azurda ran his mouth of what that could mean, but Rex shut Gramps's thoughts down (or up). Why Pyra REALLY mean is that she could've sold one of her earrings to pay off the funds.
Rex couldn't let that happen, either. So he decided to just pay for the parts, himself.
----------
You need to get One Perfect Range Sensor and three Bion Connectors for Tora, then bring them back to him at this house, and he should be able to finish his Artificial Blade. He says you can find them at Margia's Odds & Ends in Torigoth. I eventually head their after playing more of the game and accepting more optional Quests.
The shopkeeper there, Kassa, had to regret informing the group that he's out of Perfect Range Sensors, but the Bion Connectors were still on sale. Buy three of them if you can. If you can't, try going for Salvaging and then exchange the goods you get from it for money. OR! Just Salvage to get those Bion Connectors straight from the Cloud Sea, itself.
On the matter of a Perfect Range Sensor, however, a Gormotti man named Cedwyn offers a Quest for Rex to take on where he needs to go to Lascham Island to take down some monster called a Juppen Krabble. If he can do that, he'll give him a Perfect Range Sensor.
----------
The Juppen Krabble will be beyond a high-leveled group of monsters. Bypass them safely, or get squashed!
The Juppen Krabble itself felt like a pushover, here. It's not like the game was treating it like a boss!
Get that done, and then return to Cedwyn for that Perfect Range Sensor he promised. If you have that and the 3 Bion Connectors, return to Tora's House and help him finish his Artificial Blade!
----------
One more thing... Kassa's shop has a super-unique Inherited Core Crystal for 500,000G. If you can eventually make the money to by that, then the Blade you get out of it will always be guarantee to being a unique Rare Blade that you can ONLY get through that Core Crystal in Particular.
Besides that, most Core Crystals you pick up will be classified as either "Common", "Rare", or "Legendary". The more valuable the Core Crystal is, the more likely you are to get a Rare Blade (usually).
