Xenoblade Chronicles 3 #033, Great Cotte Falls: The Cascade Hulk; To the Old Cliffside Way

Previously, the party continued exploring the Great Cotte Falls, Pentelas Region. They explored the Second Cataract above the level of Colony Lambda and defeated the Budding Francis. They rested at the Titan Rock Camp for a scene. South of the camp, they encountered the Soaring Virion. As they climbed the slope northeast of the camp, they encountered the Gallivanter Buckley. They continued to the upper-level lagoon and approached the southeastern exit to the next area.
After resuming, the party backtracks north through the upper-level lagoon. They discover the First Cataract location.
As they approach the Ferronis Hulk on the northern island, they start the standard quest "The Cascade Hulk". They must first defeat 14 monsters lurking around the Ferronis Hulk. These monsters are a bunch of Onogoro Piranhaxes in the lagoon. A couple of them are elites.
On dry ground southwest of the Ferronis hulk, there is an Ether Channel.
After defeating the 14 monsters, the party climbs the Ferronis Hulk. They spend 15 Ether Cylinders to reboot it. "The Cascade Hulk" complete! The party discovers the Cascade Ferronis Hulk rest spot.
At the base of the hulk, the party learns the info "Nopon Levnises". They talk to Aggroro for "Nopon Register" and obtain a Red Nopon Pebble.
At the new campsite, the party discusses "Nopon Levnises" for bonus EXP. They spend bonus EXP to level up. They upgrade some of their gems through gem crafting. They cook some Kerfluffled Torpedo Wrap.
The party opens the Containers at the base of the Ferronis Hulk. They also feed the Fabricator some money to get some items.
West of the Cascade Ferronis Hulk, the party drops down to a lower lagoon above the Second Cataract. There, they fight the Frolicking Parker, a unique Ottil. It's cute but deadly, especially if other Ottils join in the battle. However, a good Chain Attack can devastate it.
On an island in the middle of this lagoon, the party climbs vines to find a Container. There is another container on the northwestern ledge.
On the northern ledge, the party enters the Cotte Trick Ruins. Places like these have trick devices, puzzles that open the door when solved. The party finds a Soldier's Husk in front of the puzzle device.
The party examines the puzzle device. The objective is to place a red circle on each of the green slots. Note that a red circle can be switched from one track to another by placing it in the middle. The easy solution is to (1) press R once, (2) press L once, and (3) press R once. Solving the puzzle opens the door.
In the treasure room beyond, the party takes on the Phantasmagorical Rist, a unique Medooz. At Level 35, it is fairly tough. After the battle, the party finds a Container, a rare item, and four Ether Channels in the treasure room.
The party drops down the southwestern falls to the Second Cataract. Then, they go north and open another Supply Drop.
The party skip travels back to the Cascade Ferronis Hulk and goes south. Look out for a small Agnus Squad on the island near the ruined building.
As the party approaches the target marker farther south, a cutscene sequence takes place. A big new problem is revealed.
After the scenes, the party gains control in the Old Cliffside Way, the next area. They make their way east along the path. They find an Ether Channel along the southern ledge.
As the party approaches the next target marker, another cutscene takes place. Afterwards, they discover the Old Way Camp rest spot.
Next time, the party will work on Isurd's Hero Quest.
