This is video #040 in my gameplay series of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for the Nintendo Switch.

Previously, the party reached the Engardo Pass in the northeast of the High Maktha Wildwood, Pentelas Region. There, they defeated the Peerless Pairing and then Moebius O & P. Afterwards, they entered the Syra Hovering Reefs, Keves Castle Region. Now, they will explore much of this area on their way to the castle.

The party resumes just inside the Syra Hovering Reefs. As they approach the next waypoint, a cutscene takes place. This entire area looks precarious.

There is a quest event near the entrance to Colony 11, but the party will avoid it for now. Rather, they go southwest and slide down the rope to the Hovering Reef 7 location. To the southwest, they climb a wall to a higher level.

They slide northwest down a rope to a side island. They avoid the Level 49 unique monster, but they do fine a rare item. The eastern rope leads back to the low part of the previous island.

The party returns to the higher level. They take the rope slide leading southwest.

The party reaches the Hovering Reef 6 location. Plenty of Igna groups are here.

In the west, the party enters a cave to find a Container. Just past the cave, there is a Skirmish between a Diver Moramora and a Lounge of Ignas. The party helps the Diver Moramora for bonus EXP and gold. There is also a Soldier's Husk.

In the southeast, there is a rare item. The party slides down the rope southeast to the Hovering Reef 5 location. There is a Soldier's Husk west of the rope. To the east, the party climbs up a wall to find another Soldier's Husk on a plateau. Just east of the base of this plateau, they climb down a wall to find a ledge with an Ether Deposit.

In the southwest of the island, the party finds a Container. Afterwards, they go up the slope. They ascend a couple of climbing walls and continue to the top level of the island. A device in the south fires a rope slide to the island to the southwest. Another device in the north fires a rope slide northeast to Hovering Reef 7. A rope slide leading southeast has already been deployed.

The party takes the rope slide southwest to the Hovering Reef 4 location. Just southeast of the rope, a climbing wall leads to a plateau with the Blazing Karlos, a Level 40 unique Ekidno. It seems very resistant to side break. The party finds a rare item on the ledge behind its grave after the battle.

The party goes back down and heads east up the slope. To the east and then south, they find a Container.

In the east, the party uses a device to fire a rope slide northeast. They rope slide northeast to Hovering Reef 3. The rope slide leading southeast from Hovering Reef 5 also goes here.

On this island, the party fights the Craven Piggard, a Level 38 unique Kapiba. Adorable but annoying. The Dig ability causes a lot of AOE damage. Stepping Stone inflicts mass Break. With Borrowing Rocket, the enemy burrows into the ground and then rockets out to inflict mass Break.

In the southeast, the party takes the next rope slide to Hovering Reef 2. A camp and the next waypoint are ahead.

Next time, the party will continue trying to make their way to Keves Castle. It appears that some class changes will be in order, too. Each party member has nearly mastered all the initial classes.
