This is video #049 in my gameplay series of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for the Nintendo Switch.

Previously, the party met Dorin and Bambam at the Seilas Terrace Camp in the Rae-Bel Tableland, Fornis Region. They carried out their next quest, "Fear of the Unknown". Then, they explored the Milio Trick Caverns in the Dannagh Desert. When they reached the Sage's Domicile, they did Burrburr's quest, "The Thrill of the Hunt!", and unlocked Nopon Coin rewards. The party also explored the Valley of Anguish in the Rae-Bel Tableland and more of the Dannagh Desert. Now, they will check on Colony Gamma in the Aetia Region. This is something else they could have done a long time ago, as it unlocks another traversal skill in addition to a Hero.

The party resumes at the Lake Rezzento Camp in the Eagus Wilderness, Fornis Region. They set Zeon as their current Hero. Then, they fast-travel to the Gura Flava Lowlands in Alfeto Valley, Aetia Region. This is where they became Ouroboros.

The party goes up the slope to the north. They reach a quest event, where a cutscene takes place. The hero quest "Going Beyond Power" begins. First, the party must defeat the Keves Army Patrol, a group of six Keves soldiers. The enemy group is about Level 25, so my party has them outclassed.

After the battle, a scene with Kyrie takes place. The next objective is to go to Colony Gamma.

The party follows the path through Alfeto Valley to Melnath's Shoulder. In Melnath's Pass, Lower, they find a hill with a Level 48-ish Agnian patrol. There is an Ether Deposit, but the party ignores it, since they have plenty.

As they go up the western slope, they find a Soldier's Husk.

At the top of Melnath's Pass, Lower, the party finds Colony Gamma. The east entrance is the Gamma, Main Approach, landmark. As they go in, a cutscene takes place. They meet the colony commander, Teach. The next objective is to gather info from three people in the colony.

The Colony Gamma Canteen is immediately available.

The party talks to Kyrie near the Main Approach. They obtain the info "Colony Gamma Lately (1/3)". Curious tale.

There is a Container atop the southeast guard tower.

The Commissary is between the Main Approach and the Ferronis.

Colony Tau's Korresia is here. The party has what they need to turn in her Collectopaedia Card.

The party finds the Gamma, Assembly Yard, under the Ferronis. They chat with Zakir in the southeast building. They obtain the info "Colony Gamma Lately (2/3)".

The party opens the western shed and finds a Container.

In the Colony Gamma, Staging Yard, northeast of the Ferronis, the party talks to Foots. They obtain the info "Colony Gamma Lately (3/3)".

At the Canteen, the party discusses "Colony Gamma Lately". A scene takes place.

The party enters Commander Teach's office. This triggers a scene with Teach. I smell trouble.

The party heads north of the Assembly Yard for another scene. Teach temporarily joins the party as a Hero.

They head northeast to the Gamma, Back Way, landmark and exit the colony. They enter Melnath's Pass, Upper.

They find a rare item on a spur to the north.

The party goes east across the Watchpoint Bridge landmark. To the northeast, they find a Soldier's Husk.

The party goes southeast past the target location and then takes the path northeast under the bridge. They find a Container. They also find the Petrivore Judomar, a Level 31 unique Ropl.

The party goes back to the target spot at the base of the sand slope for a scene. The party learns the Scree Walking traversal skill. They can now go up sandy slopes, such as the one ahead. At the top, they find a Level 47-ish Keves patrol to the northwest.

Across the bridge to the southeast, they find Coolley Pool. They approach the next target location for a cutscene.

Afterwards, they discover the Coolley Pool Camp rest spot. They level up with bonus EXP and cook some Manana's Battle Soup.

Next time, the party will conclude this quest. I anticipate battles with Teach and his Consul.
