Previously, Heorot carried out a few unlock quests in and around Gatara. He did Quest 017 to unlock the Dol Board, Quest 001 to unlock the gold bank, and Quest 003 to unlock concierge service at inns. He also reached Thief Level 13. Now, he will start the main story in Gatara.

Gatara (time 0:24):

Heorot resumes in Gatara's church. Barba in the town's western square and Tsimma near the town's eastern entrance have story info.

In the western square, Heorot examines the door to the Junk Castle at C-5. This triggers a scene that introduces the Beautiful Phantom Thief Poikrin.

After the scene, Accha just outside the Junk Castle and Tsimma have story info.

Heorot enters the Junk Castle at C-5. This triggers a scene with Castle Lord Daston and his servant, Potskon. In return for the Key Emblem, Daston needs Heorot's help. He dubs Heorot Potskon #2. Heorot must accompany them northeast to the Caldea Mountain Path in pursuit of Poikrin. Daston and Potskon #1 join Heorot as guests.

After gaining control, Heorot can use party chat to talk to Daston. Accha outside the Junk Castle and Tsimma have story info.

Heorot Zooms to the Gatara Region - Mountain Path crystal in the east of the Gatara Region.

Gatara Region (time 13:00):

Heorot takes the northeast exit to the Caldea Mountain Path.

Caldea Mountain Path (time 13:23):

Heorot starts in the southwest of the zone. As he steps into the area, a scene with the adorable phantom thief and Daston takes place. The Caldea Cave to the east/southeast is the next destination.

Wickermen and Rockbombs can be found in the southern part of the area. Rockbombs can explode, so be careful. Heorot explores the area for sparkly spot treasures. Things like Sturdy Branches, Fiery Branches, Fisticups, Iron Ore, and Lava Lumps can be found.

Heorot reaches Thief Level 14 and earns 1 skill point for a total of 2. Under Claws, he spends 2 points on a node that boosts his affinity rate. He reveals the Wild Animaul node above Propeller Blade.

Overlooking the sea northeast of the Caldea Cave, Heorot finds a red chest with a Small Turtle Shell at F-6.

Heorot crosses the bridge to the central part of the zone. At F-4, he examines the crystal outside the Daraz Quarry. This adds the location Caldea Mountain Path - Mining Quarry to the Zoom Stone list.

Heorot takes the exit at D-7 to the Caldea Cave.

Caldea Cave (time 23:38):

Heorot starts in the southwest of the cave. The southern part of the area is unfinished. There are sparkly spots that can yield Iron Ore and Lava Lumps. The monsters include Dancing Flames and Walking Corpses.

Heorot reaches Thief Level 15. He learns the spell Rubblerouser and earns 1 skill point. He earns an accolade for reaching Thief Level 15.

He also acquires a subjugation request to defeat 3 Muddy Hands.

There is a portion of ruins in the north of the area. Monsters in the ruins include Raving Lunaticks, Robo-robins, and Catulas.

Heorot earns another accolade for winning 50 or more battles.

In the southern room of the ruins, a red chest at C-4 contains a Big Fossil.

In the small northwest room, Heorot searches pots at A-2 and obtains a Tombola Ticket, Mini Medal #008, and a Single Phial.

Heorot reaches Thief Level 16. He learns the spell Acceleratle and earns 1 skill point for a total of 2.

A red chest at B-1/B-2 contains 3 Single Phials. By the door to the innermost room, a red chest at C-1 contains an Evac-U-Bell.

Heorot takes the door at C-1 to the innermost room. This triggers a scene with Poikrin. Interesting save, Daston.

Heorot regains control at C-1. Daston and Potskon have left the party. Heorot's next destination is the Junk Castle in Gatara.

In many Dwarven caves and ruins, there are some rooms or dead ends where light comes in, such as the room at A-2. These are open to the sky, so it is possible to Zoom out of such rooms without hitting one's head on the ceiling.
