This is video #069 in my gameplay series of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for the Nintendo Switch.

Previously, the party finished the required standard quest "Castle Access" in the City. They fetched the Ship Ether Cylinders from Miyori at the Material Storage Warehouse and took them to Samon at the docks to get the ship prepared. Afterwards, they rested at the Lost Numbers Dorm in the City for some scenes. Next, they carried out the standard quest "Unsolved Riddle" in the City. In this video, they will do a couple of hero quests that start from info gathered in the City.

The party resumes at the City Camp in the City, Swordmarch. They discuss the info "Guernica Vandham", learned east of the elevator to the War Room in video #067. This starts the hero quest "Vandham's Heir".

The party skip travels to the War Room, where they talk to Monica for a scene. Afterwards, they have to gather some belongings left in Alfeto Valley.

The party skip travels to Serene Square to see if Monica has any quest-relevant dialogue. She doesn't.

Then, they skip travel to Gura Flava Camp in Alfeto Valley, Aetia Region. There are Agnus soldiers all over the Gura Flava Lowlands. In their search, the party finds Yew's Belongings near a wrecked Levnis, Zuo's Belongings by a tree and a crag to the northeast, and Heewa's Belongings just up the slope to the northwest.

The party skip travels to the Remembrance Stones in the City, Swordmarch. When they arrive, a long cutscene sequence takes place. "Vandham's Heir" complete! Monica joins the party as a Hero. Eunie inherits Monica's class, Lost Vanguard, a Defender role. The party's City affinity reaches Rank 2.

The party skip travels to the City Camp. They set Riku & Manana as the Hero and level them up with bonus EXP.

The party discusses "Fourtune Clovers", which they learned in Caelum Residential Quarter during video #067. This requires Riku & Manana in the party. During the scenes, the party hears from Bolearis. Something suspicious is going on. This starts the hero quest "Side Story: Eunie". The Urayan Trail is the next destination.

After seeking new dialogue in the City, the party skip travels to the Clifftop Ferronis Hulk in the Urayan Trail, Pentelas Region. As they head south from the hulk, a scene with Bolearis takes place.

Next, the party goes south into Loska's Cavern. The door that was locked earlier is now open. At the first split, north leads to an Ether Channel.

To the northeast, the party approaches the target for a scene. After the scene, they find six individual Soldier's Husks.

Another scene takes place at the next target to the southwest. The party battles the Colony 5 Rearguard, four Colony 5 soldiers. However, another scene takes place after they have traded a few blows.

Next, the party must escort the Colony 5 Soldier Captain and three Colony 5 Soldiers out to the Urayan Trail. The soldiers will halt if the party gets too far ahead of them, so follow along just behind.

Another scene takes place when all the soldiers have been escorted out. Afterwards, the party goes through Loska's Cavern again. When they reach the finished tunnel, the middle path leads to a rare item. The western path leads to a Container. The eastern path leads on.

Up the stairs, northwest leads to a dead end with the Bloodsucking Elvis, a Level 53 unique Vang. The party will come back for it later.

As the party reaches Loska Plateau, a scene takes place. Consul X explains the colony ranking system. Honestly, I'm not surprised.

After the scene, it is boss time against Consul X and Moebius L. These two are no pushovers. The battle appears to end when Moebius L is defeated.

Afterwards, another cutscene sequence takes place. "Side Story: Eunie" complete! The rank cap for Medic Gunner is raised to rank 20. Good stuff.

The party skip travels to the City Camp in the City, Swordmarch, where they save. Next time, they will do more quests originating in the City.
