Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed #015, Zalmor's Thawtunnels: Ether Lift Research

Previously, the party reached the Lakeside Camp near Raguel Lake in the Ragmos Desolation and ended Chapter 3. As Chapter 4 started, they fought Na'el/Alpha. They also had a run-in with Moebius N. Back at the Command Center in Colony 9, Shulk and Rex explained the state of the world to the party. The scenario quests "The Ouroboros Power" and "Ether Lift Research" began. A scene for "The Ouroboros Power" took place at the Colony 9 Camp. Now, the party will check around Colony 9 again. Then, they will work on "Ether Lift Research".

The party resumes at the Colony 9 Camp. Everyone finishes picking up everything on their first Affinity Growth panel. This gets everyone a couple Class Skills.
The party checks around the colony and chats with NPCs. They conclude Lottie and Janus's Community tasks.
For "Ether Lift Research", the party enters the western room of Riku's Workshop. This triggers a scene. They must seek Photonium in a cave near the Pioneer's Camp.
The party skip travels to the Pioneer's Camp, Aurora Shelf.
19:38 - Aurora Shelf
South of the Pioneer's Camp, the party constructs an Ether Slide. The Black Shard needed can be found in the Ragmos Desolation. Back at camp, the party cooks Meat-and-Gooseberry Stew.
They take the Ether Slide southwest. A scene takes place. Darn, Rex!
The party discovers the Sealed Cave landmark. They go inside.
22:50 - Zalmor's Thawtunnels
As the party enters the Zalmor's Thawtunnels, a scene takes place. Lots of unpleasant things here.
The party begins exploring. East of the entrance, they find a Black Shard.
The path south of the entrance leads down to a lake. A Black Shard is in the southwest of the lake.
West of the entrance, a bridge leads to the Declessa Cave Temple Ruins. A Xenoblade Chronicles 2 reference.
On a ledge east of the ruins entrance, the party climbs down a ladder to find the first set of 3 Photonium.
Near the Declessa Altar landmark a little farther into the ruins, the party finds the Growth Reset Kit. This allows each party member to reset Affinity growth at will.
West of the altar, the party captures an Enemy Territory with 10 monsters, mostly Ignas.
Across the bridge west of Declessa Altar, the party turns north. They deal with a Fog Rift. Afterwards, they find the second set of 3 Photonium.
Up the wall to the south, the party finds a bridge leading east. Look out for a hole in the bridge. A Container is in the southwest of the bridge. The contents include a Nopon Medal.
Up the slope east of the bridge, the party turns north to find another Container. Contents include an Accessory Unlock Kit and a Nopon Medal. The party has enough Nopon Medals for Bobobi's next goal. Glimmer uses the Accessory Unlock Kit and equips another accessory.
Farther east, the party climbs the wall. Then, they drop down north and fight the Fograptor D'nari, a Level 37 unique fogbeast Vollgull. Be careful of the nearby banner. D'nari's drops include Lessons in Unity, vol. 1; Battle Manual, vol. 15; and Tactics Manual, vol. 19. Lessons in Unity volumes boost Unity combos for specific pairs.
To the northwest, the party constructs a Ladder to the lower level of Declessa Altar.
Beyond a banner to the east, the party finds the last set of 3 Photonium. A cutscene takes place. "Ether Lift Research" complete!
Past the Photonium spot, the party leaps east to a ledge. Farther east, they enter a grotto and find the Sacred Water Cavern secret area. On the northeast landing, they find a Relic. Contents include an Affinity Growth Unlock Kit; Lessons in Unity, vol 2; and Tactics Manual, vol. 4. Nikol uses the Affinity Growth Unlock Kit and picks up a few enhancements.
The party skip travels to the Colony 9 Camp.
1:22:07 - Colony 9
The party goes to Bobobi's Shoppe and talks to Bobobi for "Nopon Medals Needed". He gives them their third reward, Hoovehoove's Amulet - Silver and Swimswam's Amulet - Silver. The fourth prize requires 7 Nopon Medals.
The party saves at the Colony 9 Camp. They will continue the scenario quest "The Ouroboros Power" next time.
