The Mechon have appeared 1 year after being defeated. They've launched an attack on Colony 9,so time to haul ass back over there! You can't quick travel at this point,so you'll just have to jump into the water below. I ended up killing a few quest monsters down below,as well as a Named monster. Upon reaching Colony 9,you'll see the horror of the Mechon as they kill and eat people. It IS possible to fight a Mechon by inflicting Break on it,then having Reyn use Wild Down on it to Topple it. However,after the 1st fight I wouldn't fight anymore for now,just make your way towards Shulk's Lab at the Military District. Run from any enemies that might aggro along the way. Unfortunately upon reaching the Military District,a large Mechon with a Face ends up blocking the way to Shulk's Lab. The trio run off to find a mobile artillery unit,but end up surrounded. All hope seems lost,when suddenly Dunban shows up! He wipes out all Mechon in the area using the Monado,despite his injuries. Once Dunban joins the party,killing Mechon will be a cinch now with the Monado's Enchant skill. The way to the Residential District is blocked now,so the party will have to go the long way around to regroup with Fiora. Fight any Mechon you run into along the way if you wish.
