Released for the Wii in the U.S. in 2012. Long ago,2 great beasts called the Bionis and the Mechonis waged war on each other for years,until eventually they both stopped moving. Now people actually live on these 2 great beasts! We join the Homs,the humans of this game that live on Bionis. They're locked in a battle against the Mechon,machines that come from Mechonis and prey upon the Homs. We join Dunban and his 2 companions Dickson and Mumkhar. Dunban wields a weapon called the Monado,the only known weapon that is capable of dealing damage to Mechon. You'll control Dunban once gameplay starts. Use the Monado's Enchant skill to allow your party to hurt Mechon,and defeat any that show up. You auto-attack enemies as you get close.After the battle,Dunban ends up over-using the Monado's power and hurts himself with it,while Mumkhar ends up running away and getting killed. Soon,the scene shifts to 1 year later,and we find a young man named Shulk searching through a pile of Mechon debris. He soon gets attacked by a monster,but his buddy Reyn shows up to protect him. Fight off the enemies to make the barrier disappear. Afterwards,you'll now control Shulk. Guide him and his friend Reyn across the World Map,fighting monsters along the way if you like. You'll soon reach their hometown,called Colony 9. By the way,right now Reyn fills the role of the Tank party member,let him get the attention of monsters in battle and have Shulk support him.
