After arriving at Colony 9,you're free to explore a bit and visit the shop if you like. You can also start accepting quests from people if they're offering,just look for people with ! marks over their heads. Visit the Gem Man's Stall to learn about Gem Crafting,you can use Ether Crystals and turn them into Gems to power up armor or weapons with slots in them, When you're ready to move on,head for the military district to trigger a cutscene. As you can see,the colonel is quite angry right now. Afterwards,head down the stairs on the left to reach Shulk's Lab. Shulk has been researching the Monado that Dunban wielded a year ago,trying to unlock it's secrets. The scene soon shifts to Dunban and his sister Fiora. Dunban can barely use his right arm after using the Monado,and his sister cares for him. After the cutscene,you'll trigger a Story Quest,taking lunch to Shulk in Outlook Park. You can find it NE of Colony 9,right near the exit of the Residential District. You'll find Shulk once you reach the park above. The two will talk for a while,then you'll regain of both Shulk and Fiora. You can view the Heart-to-Heart Scene here too afterwards,these are bonus events that can boost that affection between 2 party members.
