This video contains an advanced technique found by gazo_toka on Twitter that only works on certain slopes. To perform it, run towards the slope, and let go of the control stick. During the skidding animation, press to jump straight up, then quickly hold forward. Your character will land further up the slope. Repeat this until you get to traversable terrain.
On these types of slopes, if you don't jump quickly enough after the skidding animation begins, you will fall. If you jump before skidding, you will fall unless you are high enough to reach traversable terrain
