From Sunset Falls Fast Travel point to the Lifepod, Mechanical Lv. 2, on Slavebird Isle.
This video contains an advanced technique found by gazo_toka on Twitter that only works on certain slopes. To perform it, run towards the slope, and let go of the control stick. During the skidding animation, press to jump straight up, then quickly hold forward. Your character will land further up the slope. Repeat this until you get near the top of the incline. Jump to a surface of the mountain to the left. Try to find a place where your character will run up the slope a little bit. If you go too far up, your character will fall down a small distance (not the full distance down). Jump to a portion further left that is fully traversable.
On the types of slopes where you can perform the trick in this video, if you don't jump quickly enough after the skidding animation begins, you will fall. If you jump before skidding, you will fall unless you are high enough to reach traversable terrain.
There is a cut in this video from the beginning of the first attempt to after I failed that attempt. The second attempt I recorded was successful.
This is a difficult task to perform. lol It's a lot easier to fly up.
