RIP my gamepad, it was a miracle that you even started charging. Yes, you need a PhD in Xenoblade X history to understand the thumbnail.

My thoughts on the ethics of hacking/modding in unused content for whatever reason (experiencing it, testing hacks, higher ticket gain etc.) aside, I decided to record my first day on XCX in months to see what all this was about. While it did turn out to be a result of a somone playing around with things they probably shouldn't have been messing with (it does impact other players in an online setting), at the very least it let me see how accurate my interpretation of the datamines was, as well as experience some of the more difficult cut Squad Missions for myself. A lot of these missions are similar to the content that Threethan already explored in his "Cut Content Mod", but all of these are "accurate" to data that was left behind in the files. I can only really guess as to why they were cut or left out, but they seem to have high level enemies (requiring an unusually high accuracy stat compared to anything else in the game) with awkward placements (particularly SQ197 and SQ194).

I think that it would be important to add that while the introduction may seem accusatory, it only serves to be informatory. I feel mostly apathetic regarding this, having (mostly) moved on from XCX, and it didn't seem to maliciously or negatively impact on any other player's experience (it was a small and quiet squad).

Timestamps & Comments:

01:04 Some of the unused title names have text in the JP bdat. In order:

01:11 Enemy target ID for a particular Squad Mission target matches the enemy.
01:15 Some of the unused Squad data. Note that it isn't in the expected order.
01:32 SQ138 seems to be built on the "The Docile Ovis" support mission. I check this right afterwards.
03:28 SQ139 seems to be built on the "Noctilum Nights" support mission. I also check this one.
10:51 SQ146: The first new one that works. Surprised there are no skells for this.
16:12 SQ007: Another new working one.
17:45 The Squad Mission ends early "due to an error".
18:28 SQ193: Another working one with higher level enemies.
19:51 SQ138 seems to be built on the "Water Torture" support mission, but I don't check it.
23:06 SQ189: Two high level Neilnails. I wonder if these had story relevance at one point… They can also drop a holofig.
02:36 I get in a coop lobby with the two people I believe to be responsible for this and play a mission.
28:31 The Squad Mission ends early "due to an error", and another starts almost immediately.
31:25 SQ199: The first of the hardest ones, due to platforming and enemy placement. I can see why they were removed.
38:33 SQ029: Another difficult one, this time with text prompts (see below). Skells recommended I suppose.
