So yeah... long story short. Players including myself have experienced a Steam Account bug for a couple of Years, but it got worse a couple of months ago, and the new Festival of Universes event added yet another wrinkle to the mix. This bug is the reason my pvp content has gotten pretty dry... it's made it quite difficult to get matches with randoms.
I'll just say that with this 8 year old game - as a veteran of it - the slow creep of stacking problems with the game's functionality, and Steam's account based DRM is wearing thin on me. I intend to get the festival preset unlocks, but the harder it is for me to log in and get multilobby working, the less motivated I am to give this game more chances... I enjoy this game to the extent I've played it for so long and continued in spite of the glaring issues. But I'm reaching my limit in patience with it. Whether it's a steam account issue or the game's server... somebody on the developer's side needs to patch this... I'm already irked at the STP paid currency additions to the game... I'm not supporting any of that especially when I have a barely functioning game on my hands...
At Any rate I'll link in my unlisted videos to the description by tomorrow. For now I just wanted to get this out so some friends (and maybe others) have a quite work around guide so they don't miss out on unlocking festival presets.
