"Donkey Kong/Donkey Kong Jr./Donkey Kong 3" tells the saga of an 800-pound gorilla named Donkey Kong, who is suddenly run amuck across the city. The gorilla wrecks buildings, kidnaps a lady named Pauline (who loses her belongings in the process), and makes haste to the top of a tall building under construction.

Mario, a carpenter and the boyfriend of Pauline, sets out to rescue her from the frenzied ape. Meanwhile, Donkey Kong Jr., DK's son, sets out to find his father gorilla before he does anymore damage to the city. His only desire is to reunite with his father and return back to the jungle where they rule the animal kingdom.

As Mario chases after Donkey Kong Sr. and Pauline, Stanley, a bugman and Mario's cousin, watches the mischief from his greenhouse. Worried about his plants possibly being destroyed by the gorilla, he arms himself with bug spray, prepared for the worst.
