"Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales" continues a year after the events of the Devil's Breath Crisis and a few months after Spider-Man's victory over Hammerhead and the Maggie crime families. Peter Parker has been training his new protégé, 16-year old Miles Morales, who was also bitten by a radioactive spider that escaped from Norman Osborn's secret laboratory.

Miles has improved his skills and spider powers under the tutelage of Peter, and has also moved from Brooklyn into Harlem with his mother Rio Morales after the passing of his father, Jefferson Davis. As he gets acquainted with his new life, he is also learning how to lead a double life as New York's newest superhero.

When a new threat emerges and Peter has to step away to assist Mary Jane Watson at her new job, he leaves the city under Miles's protection. Miles must step up to the challenge, overcome his own doubts, and learn to grow up not only as Spider-Man, but as a young man with all the potential in the world.
