Xiaomi introduced its first humanoid robot, CyberOne: It can understand 45 human emotions
Chinese technology giant Xiaomi introduced its first humanoid robot called CyberOne and worth approximately 1.5 million liras. It has been announced that the robot, which has arms and legs that allow it to walk like a real human, is equipped with artificial intelligence technology that allows it to perceive 45 human emotions. However, the introduction of CyberOne came just a month before the launch of Tesla's humanoid robot Optimus.
CyberOne was unveiled on stage during a Xiaomi event in Beijing last week. “Artificial intelligence at its core, this robot is an exploration of the possibilities of Xiaomi's future technological ecosystem and is a new breakthrough for the company,” said Lei Jun, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Xiaomi Group.
However, Jun said that CyberOne is 175 centimeters tall and 52 kilograms in weight, also has an arm span of 168 centimeters.
"CyberOne supports up to 21 degrees of freedom of movement and achieves a real-time response speed of 0.5 ms per degree of freedom, allowing it to precisely simulate human movements," said Jun.
"45 PEOPLE CAN DEFINE THEIR SENSE"
On the other hand, it was reported that CyberOne is equipped with an artificial intelligence interaction algorithm that allows it to recognize individuals, gestures and expressions, as well as perceive space in 3D. It was reported that the robot can recognize 85 different environmental sounds and 45 human emotions.
“CyberOne can detect happiness and even comfort the user in times of sadness,” Jun said.
EXPECTED TO FIND A BUYER FOR 1.5 MILLION LIRA
On the other hand, Jun said it will likely be in the range of 600 thousand to 700 thousand yuan (about 1.5 million pounds 1.8 million lira).
On the other hand, although CyberOne is Xiaomi's first humanoid robot, the tech giant had previously revealed a robotic dog called CyberDog. It was stated that the robot dog can follow its owner both remotely and with voice control, and can go around obstacles.
Jun added that CyberOne is constantly adding new capabilities:
“We think that intelligent robots will definitely be a part of people's lives in the future.”
IT CAME ONE MONTH BEFORE THE LAUNCH OF OPTIMUS
The launch of CyberOne came just weeks before the highly anticipated launch of Tesla's first humanoid robot, Optimus.
Tesla's CEO, who previously said that artificial intelligence is the most terrible thing that has happened to civilization, said in a statement about the humanoid robot, It can develop a unique personality of its own over time. He will be an incredible friend to people.” On the other hand, the 47-year-old CEO of Tesla and SpaceX announced that the robot codenamed "Optimus Subprime" is not a "killer" like its counterparts and can be neutralized by the average human.
The Optimus will be unveiled at Tesla's AI Day event on September 30.
