14XL-R8R Demo by Mad Onion released in September 22, 2000 brought you the first intelligent PC hardware upgrade recommendation service, developed by MadOnion and powered by its vast PC Performance Database (a database that contained hundreds of thousands of performance results from its series of benchmarks, 3DMark2000, Video2000, and BAPCo's SYSmark2000).
In addition to the spectacular sound and light show that you were treated to while running the software, using XL-R8R made it possible for you to get personalized recommendations on how to improve your PC’s performance. XL-R8R had a built-in computer system profiler, which inspected your PC’s hardware configuration and connected you to its database for detailed performance analysis and upgrade recommendations. The recommendations you were provided with were specific to your system and your requirements.
To get the XL-R8R demo running on Windows 10 and 11, I patched the rlmfc.dll based on the 'rlmfc.dll from the Max Payne patch,' which addresses the same issue for Ryzen processors.
