This week we have Secret Agent, both developed and published by Apogee. It was released on February 1, 1992 for DOS.

Secret Agent plays very much like Crystal Caves. The level selection is displayed as a map, rather than a platforming segment like in Crystal Caves. Colored levers for opening doors have been replaced with colored keys, which you are able to carry only one of each color. Extra keys don't stack, so be careful not to pick up additional keys of the same color until you've used the one you already have. In most levels, there is a laser beam that must be deactivated at a computer terminal with a floppy disk found somewhere in the level in order to proceed. There are glasses, which reveal hidden platforms needed to progress further in the level as well. Barrels with an arrow pointing left and right can be pushed, giving you a movable platform to make jumps from. To complete a level, two things are required at the minimum. First, you need to locate and destroy the radar dish in the level (not sure that they actually work all that well since they're usually underground in structures that are probably made on concrete and metal). Second, you must find a bundle of dynamite and place it at the exit and blow the door open. The dynamite with automatically place itself if you have it when you run up to the door, so be ready to run back a little bit, as the explosion animation will hurt you. As in Crystal Caves, you can collect a number of bonus items for extra points and are rewarded a bonus for leaving the level without taking any hits.

Secret Agent has no music, and its only sound is from the PC speaker. The graphics are on par with Crystal Caves. And that's pretty much all I have to say about that. :-p

I find Secret Agent to be a fun game and recommend checking it out. You can get it as part of the 3D Realms Anthology, or by itself on GOG.
