Yes, you can beat Aliens: Fireteam Elite while AFK in Casual
Just something I tend to gripe about periodically as being completely possible.... I decided to demonstrate it. Admittedly just on 1-1, but it'd work the same way on every map really, and honestly this is just boring, so I can't imagine doing the whole game like this....not because it won't work, but because I'd fall asleep.
Some things to note:
Besides having really bad AI, Alpha and Beta also stop paying attention to enemies periodically until the player attacks. (This is why I shoot periodically; you can see Alpha/Beta just not doing anything and staring at me, indicating they're not going to do anything until I attack an enemy.)
Basically the only way to lose Casual while AFK is either if Alpha, Beta, and the player all go down, or Alpha and Beta somehow cannot manage to revive you while you're down, for the full 2 minutes you have before dying. Generally this isn't possible unless one of them is also down, and the only android still up is being attacked often enough that it can't revive the other android or the player.
On Casual, you do have infinite lives I think. And no friendly fire.
If Alpha and Beta are ignoring enemies, if you're grappled or pounced, they won't save you until you die, and still won't attack until you start attacking yourself after you're revived.
Only reason I got on the elevator rather than letting Alpha and Beta continue to kill everything in the last fight was because they were both down and I didn't want to revive them or solo everything around me.
So, y'know, any of you who have difficulty with this game on Casual......just how bad are you?
