Your Digital Games After Death - Are Physical Games the Solution?

I know that this is a morbid question, but what happens to our digital games when we die? Can we transfer them, or do our decedents need to buy a bunch of games again, in our afterlife? Modern video game consoles still allow you to buy physical games, but most of the time, you still need to download most of the game. The disc (or cartridge of Nintendo Switch) is little more than license in some cases.
Are physical games any better, in this case? Are our digital games essentially rentals?
