YouTube algorithm is broken - my false copyright claim wasn't even music
I just had to share this copyright claim, hopefully you'll find it interesting too. Basically I got a completely false copyright claimed against out of the blue for a Days Gone Let's Play video I recently uploaded. The 20 seconds in question features in game menus switching only, which causes a sound effect and you change screens. So according to YouTube in game menus are now music! I guess my switching screens is just too rhythmic for them to allow. Utter madness and completely unfair.
Further proof that YouTube copyright claim system is utterly broken, and slanted wildly in favour of third party companies acting for large record labels grabbing income which you're entitled to. You are guilty unless you can prove yourself innocent. All the while losing revenue you're due and time spent on it you can ill afford to waste.
Will I both claiming it? Frankly what is the point? I'm not earning anything from it anyway, it is the principle of the thing and knowing it could happen to anyone which is annoying. I could remove the sound and it wouldn't harm my video particularly. But why should I? I doesn't contain any content I'm not entitled to.
