YouTube Red - Review!
763What is YouTube Red? And why would you want it? These are some questions that come to our minds after seeing this title. YouTube Red is a new service introduced by YouTube itself. So how does it differ from the original YouTube? Or doesn’t it?
YouTube Red is only available as a 30-day trial in the United States at the moment. Although similar to the original YouTube, this has many new features, including some of which we’ve been waiting for. One of these features is background video playback which allows you to move out of the app and do other activities while the video is playing. And with this service you can save videos to be watched offline as well.
We conducted a small review of the service using an iPhone. As you can see in the review there are settings you can enable to use background play, set an option to use headphones/speakers only, set offline video quality etc. The next cool thing about this is that it displays the videos without any advertisements.
But it seems a bit glitchy at the moment with some of the features not responding. But since this is just a trial version, let’s hope these issues will be fixed.
