Youtube Test: 60fps is ok, but stuttering on 30fps (Fixed by YouTube)
Edit: Fixed by YouTube on 16. April 2015. What you are seeing now is the fixed version. :-)

When I uploaded my first gameplay video in 60fps (not released yet), I recognized a stuttering in the animation of the information bar.
The 60fps version, watched in Chrome, looks fine. But not the 30fps version.
The first time I thought there was a problem with my animation.
So I have reedited the animation with After Effects and added a motion blur filter. Finally rendered in 30fps.
Now we have a 30fps animation in a 60fps video.
The final cut looked great. No stuttering with 60fps and no stuttering with 30fps (removed every second frame).
But why this doesn't work in Youtube?
So I downloaded the encoded file and saw, that youtube eliminates not only every second frame O_o
How 60fps to 30fps should work in a fast and simple way:
60fps frameorder: ABCDEFGHIJKLMN...
30fps frameorder: ACEGIKM... (take every second frame) or (+2,+2,+2,...)
How Youtube converts it:
60fps frameorder: ABCDEFGHIJKLMN...
30fps frameorder: ABDGHJMNS... (+1,+2,+3,+1,+2,+3,...) O_o
I will upload more videos if this "Bug" is fixed.
60fps support is great, so you can see how the gaming really was with the 3dfx cards.
But with this strange FPS conversion to 30FPS, it's not funny.
Edit: I wrote a message via "Feedback" to Youtube and some lines in the support-forum. Hope someone of the staff can have a look at this :-)
