YouTube's Copyright System is BROKEN.
Cilvanis versus YouTube Copyright System. The copyright system was originally created because foul players stole content and started monetizing it. Companies and corporations started becoming upset, so the system was made so companies could easily upload their IP (music, video, etc) and automatically claim any sounds that have it. Copyright trolls, however, use this system to upload existing music, and then claim the music is their own. This allows them to take the ad revenue from the video. Copyright strikes can ruin entire channels, which is why I say the system favors the attacker.
