Boss 6: Dark Demon Nygfinicus

At the depths of the Kefin Ruins, the Dark Crystal Nox does indeed rest in its own chamber. With it stands the last guardian beast, the nefarious demon Nygfinicus.

Another straightforward undertaking, where the hardest part about it is attacking it. Nygfinicus is a floating...head with two hands which act independently from it. The hands can individually attack you, but can be blocked if you face the opposite direction they move. When both are on the field, they will create an energy ball to fire at Adol, which can also be blocked if you're at the right angle. The hands have 600 HP each, so go down relatively quickly.

As soon as one hand goes down, the head will attack directly. It only has two attacks, but it attacks quite frequently and requires a bit of spacing to stay safe. It can shoot a generic fireball, which isn't threatening at all, but it can also summon a field around its head that will surprisingly make Adol confused, dealing a set amount of damage and temporarily reversing your controls. Because it attacks so frequently you can't really stand directly in its face blocking the fireballs since you run the risk of getting caught in the confusion field, but the hands take some time to regenerate so there's plenty of time to actually attack even if it decides to spam the field.

As mentioned the hands respawn, but one at a time, making dispatching them again an easy task. At the end of the day, the confusion is the only ace it has, but once you know about it it's nothing difficult to manage.
