A throwback to a simpler time, where one didn't have to sit around for 10 minutes while on turn 1 your opponent fumbles though their Snake Eyes/Fire King combo line and then once it hits your draw phase they continue to play during your turn.

This game is technically the Japanese copy, but patched with an English patch that allows the text to be English while keeping it's Japanese voice lines. Also playing on the PPSSPP emulator, which I will be using the save state function and speedup for "offline" grinding. Otherwise no cheats.

I'll also be referring to their English names as most people will likely know that over their Japanese names. As well with that I won't be showing off the card text of every card unless I, myself, aren't familiar with it. Aside from the game exclusive cards, if you are familiar with those cards from 2006 prior, you'll be fine. (No giant walls of text here)

Tag Force 1 takes place during the first season of the GX anime, ending around after the defeat of the Shadow Riders. As there will be a lot of dueling in the games 91 days, I will be showing off the following:

--- Each characters, main character or not, first duel. If I lose the first time around, I will show them off until I win. Character's will have upgraded decks depending on how far in you are in the game. (Main characters and some side characters will always be shown off. I.e Jaden, Chazz, Crowler etc)
-- I will grind off screen for money when it's needed. Grinding will come off of the random NPC's.
-- Time stamps will be shown for any unique characters in case you wanted to see them only. These characters tend to have special summoning animations and other unique scenes.

25:34 --- Chumley Battle #1
34:37 --- Syrus Battle #1
42:06 --- Jaden Battle #1 (Actual Anime Battle)
1:07:31 --- Blair (best GX girl) Battle #1

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force, known in Japan as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX Tag Force is a video game based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime series. It is the Yu-Gi-Oh! series' debut on the PlayStation Portable system and the first game in the Tag Force series. The game was ported to the PlayStation 2 under the name Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force Evolution, and it includes connectivity with the original game's sequel.

The player enrolls at Duel Academy as a transfer student. The main focus of the game is a Tag Force tournament that will take place on the island. Players must find a partner to compete in the tournament alongside. The game includes characters from the anime, as well as characters exclusive to the video games.

The player enrolls at Duel Academy one month after the beginning of the school year during the month of May. As a transfer student, you are automatically placed in the Slifer Red dorm. The game is divided into three parts, each with different goals, all of which are ultimately accomplished through Dueling.

In the first part of the game, one must find a partner. During the first playthrough, the player may select Jaden Yuki, Syrus Truesdale, Chumley Huffington, Bastion Misawa, Chazz Princeton, Alexis Rhodes or Zane Truesdale as a partner. However, in order to convince them to team up with you, you must build a relationship with them. Whenever a conversation is prompted, you are given four options - to talk about "Duels", "The Academy", "Hobbies" or "Rumors". During each conversation one of the first three choices is randomly selected to harm affection, while the other two will improve it. This can be avoided by getting Pharaoh to follow you, should he be with you, all three choices will yield the best result. Affection can also be increased by giving the characters sandwiches that can be purchased at Duel Academy's card shop. Everyone has different tastes, though all seven characters love the Golden Eggwich. Affection is measured via a heart meter. Once seven hearts are obtained, the character will offer to become your partner. Filling the meter completely to eight hearts will result in the character gifting the player with cards that are either hard to acquire or impossible to obtain otherwise. It is completely possible to maximize the relationship with all Tier 1 characters before ending Part 1.

At the end of July, the Tag Force tournament is held, beginning the game's second part.
