Your Uncle Murray has requested your aid at his antique shop in Ocean City, but upon your arrival the old man is nowhere to be found. Your investigation into his disappearance and the artifacts he’s been collecting takes a turn when you stumble across some shadowy plots (and a bunch of squirming eldritch tentacles) that threaten to bring about the end of the world.
Explore a sprawling open world chock full of danger, quests, puzzles, and stick figures in this single-player comedy adventure/RPG set in the prohibition era of the Loathing universe. See how many enemies you can stuff into a phone booth as the athletic Pig Skinner, control the curds and whey of the cosmos as the cunning Cheese Wizard, or march to the beat of your own inscrutable purposes as the hip Jazz Agent.
You’ll start off with a magazine on your face. First we need to remove it. Head inside the diner and ignore everyone for now. Go to the very right and inside the bathroom to the back. Here, you’ll be able to choose what your character looks like. After you choose your looks, interact with the jukebox to the left of the bathroom door. You’ll be able to receive 1 Meat.
Head back to the front of the diner and talk to the lady, Ethel. She’ll ask you for your name. Here, you’ll be able to choose your first and last name. After giving your name, select [2] Does the bus to Ocean City pick up here? to choose your starting perks. Refer to the choices below to choose your perk.
After choosing your perks, exit the diner for a cutscene. On the way to Ocean City, the bus will run out of gas. Talk to the driver and he’ll give you an empty can. You will need to fill it up with gas. You only need 100% Gas in order to complete the task however, if you want to get an achievement, see below.
Head to the left and enter Krustinger Auto-motive. Go to the snacks rack at the back and pick up the Cheez Loaf and loot the cash register for 7 Meat. Take the Baseball Bat that’s leaning on the wall.
After looting the room, enter the door to the right. Convince yourself that you’re an employee to be able to enter. Once inside, head right, to the third shelf. Look at the old personnel files in order to gain 5 XP. Continue on and take the door down to the garage.
Go to the right and check the fuse box. It will be empty. Go back to the previous room to look for fuse. It’s on the second shelf, to the left of the personnel file.
Once you have the fuse, replace the broken one on the fuse box then press the button to the right side of the door. This will lower the car lift, enabling you to siphon some gas, filling it to ⅓ full.
Exit the Filling Station then continue heading left (You can speak to the NPC if you want) until you reach a house. Enter it and you’ll be greeted by Elias.
Talk to Elias and he’ll give you the Farmer Chekhov’s barn key. After this, ask him about the items in the room. The BEARS box will give you Bibson’s Extra-Sweet Pears. The weird device on top of the box will give you the haunted duck call.
Head to the door at the back, to the right of the kitchen. This door leads to the bathroom. Ask Elias to use it. Once inside, flush the toilet for 5 XP. If you want to change your character’s expression, you can use the mirror.
