Previously, Link defeated Calamity Ganon and Dark Beast Ganon and completed the game. Now, he will start working on some of the remaining side quests and DLC. In this video, he will carry out the side quest "[Xenoblade Chronicles 2]" and start "Trial of the Sword".

Link resumes from his starred save in Hateno Village. He will start with the side quest "[Xenoblade Chronicles 2]". For this quest, he will find the costume of the protagonist of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The three pieces of the set are delivered by red meteors that strike specific spots at night.

Link teleports to the Lake Tower (time 0:57). He paraglides down to the Bridge of Hylia.

Link reaches the Bridge of Hylia (time 1:59). He clears out the Lizalfos stationed at the middle of the bridge.

A chest in the middle of the bridge contains a Silverscale Spear (time 2:55). Link leaves this.

For the quest, it must be nighttime. So, Link sets down some Wood and lights it to make a campfire. He waits until night in the middle of the bridge.

Soon after nightfall, Link sees the red meteor in the southern sky from the middle of the Bridge of Hylia (time 3:56). The meteor lands at the lake shore east of the southern end of the bridge.

Link paraglides southeast to the landing spot (time 4:17). Look out for Stal enemies at night.

Where the meteor landed, Link finds a red chest (time 4:59). It contains the Salvager Headwear. This is the first piece of the set for "[Xenoblade Chronicles 2]".

Next, Link teleports to the Zuna Kai Shrine at Skull Lake in the Akkala Region (time 5:29). As you may remember Zuna Kai Shrine is on the left eye of Skull Lake. From there, Link must look east for another red meteor.

It is already nighttime, so Link soon sees the red meteor in the eastern sky (time 6:07). It lands on the ridge east of Skull Lake. So, Link paraglides east to the mainland.

East of Skull Lake, Link finds a second red chest where the meteor landed (time 8:08). It contains the Salvager Vest. This is the second piece of the set.

Then, Link teleports to the Shada Naw Shrine near Selmie's Spot northwest of the Hebra Peak (time 8:51). He immediately puts on Snowquill pieces for protection against the bitter cold.

At Selmie's Spot, Link rests until morning (time 9:48). In the morning, he climbs to the Hebra Peak.

Link reaches the Hebra Peak (time 11:48). He pulls out some Wood and makes a campfire to rest until night.

At night, Link sees the red meteor streak across the southeastern sky (time 12:31). It lands on a lower spot to the southeast. After pinning it on his map, Link paraglides to it.

At the spot, Link finds the red chest (time 13:24). It contains the Salvager Trousers. Link now has all three pieces of the Salvager set. "[Xenoblade Chronicles 2]" complete!

Next, Link will begin "EX Trial of the Sword". So, he teleports to the Keo Ruug Shrine in the Korok Forest (time 14:02).

In the Great Deku Tree, Link models the Salvager set (time 15:01). This is the costume that Rex, the protagonist of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, wears. Each piece provides Swim Speed Up, and the whole set provides the bonus Swim Dash Stamina Up.

Link rests until morning at the cookfire in the Great Deku Tree (time 15:35). Mainly, this is to create an autosave prior to starting the Trial of the Sword.

Link approaches the Master Sword's pedestal. He already saw the scene that happens here in video #046. Before he puts in the Master Sword, he eats some Mighty Simmered Fruit for an attack power boost. Be aware that Link will lose access to all his inventory for the duration of a Trial of the Sword.

To start the Trial of the Sword, he places the Master Sword in the pedestal (time 16:24). He arrives in the Sword Monk's Shrine. The Sword Monk issues the Trial of the Sword. He must overcome the trial to wield the Master Sword's full power. In fact, there are three sets of trials in all.
