Previously, Link finished the side quest "[Xenoblade Chronicles 2]" and found the Salvager set. Then, he began the first part of the Trial of the Sword, the Beginning Trials. He made it to Underground Floor 7, a rest area.. Now, he will wrap up the Beginning Trials.

As we resume, Link beams into Underground Floor 8. This floor has a pond. Lizalfos are spread around the area. One landing has two Lizalfos at a campfire with a Yellow Chuchu nearby. Link should go around the room and take out the other two Lizalfos first, especially the arrow-wielding Lizalfos. If Link shots the Yellow Chuchu, its explosion should shock the two Lizalfos around it. The Lizalfos are still dangerous, so be careful. The portal to the next floor lights up after Link has defeated all the enemies. There are some Roasted Bass on spears around the campfire.

A metal chest is in the water under some rocks (time 4:41). Link can pull it out with Magnesis. The chest contains 10 Arrows. The crates may also contain more Arrows.

Link takes the portal to Underground Floor 9 (time 5:57). This area also has a pond. A Water Octorok is in the water nearby, so take it out quickly. Another Water Octorok is in the water farther away. An Electric Wizzrobe is frolicking over the other island. After defeating the enemies, Link should definitely claim the Lightning Rod.

A chest is on the water among some rocks near the start (time 8:33). Link can lift it up with Cryonis. This chest contains 10 Arrows.

Link continues to Underground Floor 10 (time 9:22). Three Lizalfos are on a system of wooden platforms over a pond. If Link stays where he is, the Blue Lizalfos lookout will sound the alarm in seconds, so he should dive into the water to avoid it. If he approaches the ramps carefully, he can deal with the Lizalfos one at a time. If a Lizalfos gets knocked in the water, remember that Remote Bombs float. Don't forget to claim their weapons. Anything metal that falls in the water can be pulled out with Magnesis.

Link takes the portal to Underground Floor 11 (time 19:01). The next-to-last floor features an enemy base across the pond from the pier. In my opinion, this is the most difficult floor. Link can take the raft across to the enemy camp, but with the horde of monsters waiting, that is not the best idea. Instead, Link approaches on Cryonis blocks and takes out the lookouts first. Most of the foes are Bokoblins of various colors. The lieutenant is a Black Bokoblin. The leader is a dangerous Black Moblin. Its club will tear through the available shields. Fortunately, the enemies here will die if they fall into the water. Don't forget the Black Moblin's Dragonbone Boko Club.

A metal chest is on the right-hand lookout tower (time 23:55). Link can pull it to him with Magnesis. It contains 10 Fire Arrows.

After clearing out the enemies and gathering items, Link continues to Underground Floor 12 (time 33:41). The final boss of the Beginning Trials is a Blue Hinox. It is dangerous, of course, but fortunately it is fairly slow. Link can stun it by shooting it in the eye. If necessary, Link can try to steal a Knight's Bow, a Knight's Broadsword, or a Knight's Shield from it.

After the battle, Link takes the portal (time 36:02). This dome looks like part of the altar chamber, but Link cannot access the altar. The Sword Monk tells Link to take back the Master Sword.

Link takes the Master Sword (time 37:12). He is teleported back out to the Korok Forest. The Master Sword's attack power has increased from 30 to 40. The Great Deku Tree tells Link that he can challenge the trials again.

We regain control of LInk in the Korok Forest (time 38:24). The objective for "EX Trial of the Sword" is updated. Link still has two portions of the trial left to go, the Middle Trials and the Final Trials.

Link teleports to the Myahm Agana Shrine in Hateno Village (time 38:41). He goes to his house to sleep until morning.

Next time, Link will begin confronting the Middle Trials.

Thanks for watching!
