Zelda Ocarina of Time Randomizer - Plandomizer: "Back To The Past" Abridged Draft
Ocarina of Time now has a functioning BETA user interface for setting up a Plandomizer. That means you can individually select every possible item location and pick from a drop-down menu what item you want to be there, turning it into a semi "Zelda Maker". Super Metroid has had this feature for quite some time, so it's nice to see Zelda get it. Be warned, however, that it can be cumbersome to use and is not forgiving of mistakes or quick re-do's. Customized entrances and boss rooms are not yet a feature; It is exclusive to items, songs, cows, shops, scrubs, overworld, and dungeons. More details can be found at the official randomizer site linked below:

This seed I created is the end result after a lot of errors and frustration making a file that would actually work as planned. The theme is starting as an Adult with the Door of Time closed, requiring finding the keys to Childhood where some needed items are. Unfortunately, the game still requires being an Adult to defeat Ganon, so the theme kind of collapses on itself. I'd have liked to have the final reward be returning to the past, but without an alternate "game beaten" parameter, it's impossible. But the route I created is very convenient, awarding warp songs and things just as you need them. Only 4 dungeons are included, one being a super shortened Water Temple. It's a quick-play seed just to test out the idea. Hopefully it's enjoyable.
