Previously, Link began exploring the Palace of Twilight, the eighth dungeon. He acquired the first Sol in the western wing and brought it outside. Now, he will check out the eastern wing.

Link goes through the door to the first room of the eastern wing (time 0:24). This room has platforms that Link will need to jump across to reach the northern end. Along the way, he will have to be careful of a Mask of Zant. Beating it reveals a chest on the eastern side of the northern ledge. There are also chests in alcoves, but they are unreachable right now.

The eastern chest in the north contains a Small Key (time 2:59). The small chest to the west contains a Purple Rupee, worth 50 R.

Link proceeds north to the second room (time 3:25). The central fog has a lot going on. First, Link will have to take out three Shadow Beings. Then, he will have one Mask of Zant. Following that, there will be THREE Masks of Zant to deal with. Defeating it will reveal a chest high on the southeast ledge. From the Clawshot targets in the northern wall, Link can reach the Clawshot targets up above to reach the upper alcoves.

The chest in the upper northwest alcove contains a Purple Rupee, worth 50 R (time 5:14). So does the one in the northeast alcove. Again, Link will have to leave them behind.

The chest in the upper southwest alcove contains the Dungeon Map (time 6:04). The chest in the southeast alcove contains a Small Key (time 6:40).

Link heads north to the third room (time 7:09). He will see the second Sol in here.

As he approaches the Sol, the second Image of Zant will appear (time 7:32). Surprised? At first, he will summon a bunch of Twilit Deku Babas. They are not terribly dangerous if you take a couple out and stand in a good place. This time, Zant will fire five balls of energy towards Link. Otherwise, he acts much the same as before. As before, when it is dead, the Image will explode into a black fog that covers the middle of the floor.

Link slashes the Wall Master to take the second Sol (time 10:21). Naturally, the Wall Master will come to life to reclaim the Sol afterwards. As Link approaches the Sol depression, Shadowlings and a Shadow Being will attack. This room is fairly similar to the one on the western side.

Link returns to the second room (time 11:07). Again, the Wall Master will resume its pursuit. In this room, the Sol will create tall walls that actually impede the Wall Master, so if you set it up right, the Sol will be safe for a while. Link will have to Clawshot to the southeast alcove, climb up to the southeast platform, and grab the Sol with the Clawshot.

Link returns to the first room (time 12:50). The Wall Master continues its pursuit. When Link crosses the moving platforms to the solid platform with orbs on both sides, the Sol will power up the orbs and generate a moving platform that takes him to the south. Neat!

Link returns to the outside (time 13:51).

At the center, he puts the Sol in the open recess (time 14:26). The two Sols power up Link's Master Sword! While Link is in the Twilight Realm, the sword will shine with a golden light. He can use it to cut through dark fog and also to power up orbs.

Link returns to the first room of the east wing (time 16:01).

On the lower level, he can now ride a platform on the western side up to an alcove (time 16:39). He can also banish the black fog with the sword. The chest in the western alcove contains a Purple Rupee, worth 50 R.

Also, Link can ride a platform on the eastern side up to another alcove (time 17:28). The chest in the alcove contains Piece of Heart #45! This is the final Piece of Heart for Link in my game. This gives him a total of 19 Heart Containers. Lovely!

After powering up the center platform, Link returns to the outside area (time 18:40). Next time, he will head up the main keep of the palace towards Zant's lair.
