Zilog and Moto - Episode 84: Asterix - Master System
19Fun fact about this video, I made a mistake! I mentioned how none of the Asterix games for the Master System and Genesis/Mega Drive were released in the United States, and not only is that not true, I had totally forgotten I already owned the one Asterix title that got a US release, in Asterix and the Great Rescue for the Genesis. Oooooooops. Well, at least I admit it!
Asterix was a lot of fun to play for this review, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is interested in the Master System. It's a great platformer, and won't make you pull your hair out...except level 7-3. You've been warned.
Also, quick technical note, this footage comes from an actual Master System as opposed to my Power Base Converter due to some technical issues I'm having, and you can probably see the jailbars due to that if you look closely. Hopefully I'll have my main Genesis back soon and can go back to PBC based footage soon, but I don't think this turned out too terribly, and it was nice to play on truly original equipment (albeit with a wireless Genesis 6 button controller, I didn't feel the need to be THAT authentic ;) )
