Zookeeper DS took everything wild and weird about the original and made it work perfectly with a stylus. Released in 2005, it was the first and only version of Zookeeper to officially launch in North America. Fast-paced match-3 gameplay, goofy animal sprites, and full touch screen control made it one of the DS’s early puzzle gems.

Honestly, it still plays great today and feels like it would be right at home on modern tablets or phones. It’s quick, responsive, and way more chaotic than Bejeweled ever was.

This gameplay was captured using the DeSmuME core in RetroArch.
