Zor is a 1-player strategy game for the VIC-20.

You are on this remote and barren planet to do battle with a Champion of Zor, to try to demonstrate Earth's supremacy in robotic war gaming. You and your opponent are equally energized for battle with 2500 megajoule units of energy. You are each armed with 2 proton missiles and 4 neutron shells which are self-energized, and can be used for long-range attacks. The player is also armed with short-range offensive weapon, including plasma bolts, laser cannons, and disruptor beams. These use energy from the starting power source.

When the player receives attack from the enemy, they must set a shield level from 0 - 9. If the attack penetrates the shield, a secondary shield activates to absorb the blow, but this shield uses considerable energy. When the player runs out of energy they will receive a fatal blow. The player and computer take turns firing in combat, while the enemy fires and approaches the player. Battle occurs until one player runs out of energy and is destroyed.
