ZX Spectrum 48K

Paperboy was an Arcade original game ported to many systems of the time. The Home Computer versions including the Spectrum were developed and released by Elite in 1986,

I had played this a lot on the C64 before owning on the Spectrum and was initially let down by the monochrome gfx and lack of any music. However the game is more faithful to the original arcade game in my opinion and easier to actually get the paper in the boxes. The framerate is anything less than smooth but it is constant so you do manage to work with it as you play. All that said though I think the port could have been better than it was.

I have left the border in place for this video only because it does a nifty border trick on 48k machines and added some gfx there on the score screen. -
