Today I'm looking at the PC-01 Lviv (or PK-01 Lvov) designed/built in Lviv, Ukraine.

This machine is based on the Intel 8080-clone developed in the Soviet Union, similar to the Partner-01.01.

As is customary, let's check out the power supply first, sporting a hefty heatsink for the КТ908А power transistor.

We're running an 8080-clone so we'll need +5VDC, +12VDC and -5VDC ... I assume this is what is output via the obligatory 5-pin DIN socket.

Seems I'm right ... according to the schematic (see links at end):

Pin 1 = +12VDC
Pin 2 = +5VDC
Pin 3 = ground
Pin 4 = -5VDC
Pin 5 = ground

There was some nasty looking gunk inside the supply so I've totally stripped it so I could clean at least some of it. I'm thinking that I'll strip it further (wiring) to get the rest of it ... might turn into a bit of a project.

Luckily I do have other PSUs that do +/-5V and +12V so I can use one of those when testing the actual machine.

It may take me a while to finish this PSU ...

I have managed to find some documentation, etc. for the machine:

In particular, schematics can be downloaded here as at 24-Oct-2022 (need DjVu plugin):
