That title was about the best I could do, under the circumstances. This is Star Trek: Armada 3, a mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that converts the game to use, well, Star Trek stuff! The gameplay's pretty similar, especially the strategic element. You can currently control the forces of the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, and the Borg Collective so far, all with canon assets and sound clips lovingly rendered for display.

The whole mod isn't even on version 1.0 yet but it's still got a great feel to it; they're planning on adding the Cardassian Union at some point, as well. They've put in hero units with the distinctive and memorable characters of the series, and the way the actual ship combat works is different... and to my surprise, the phasers/torpedoes/shields combination and ship movement works really, really well in the Sins engine. In fact, ships maneuver about a lot more generally; in the vanilla game they mostly tend to sit there plinking away like Starcraft units.

I think it's safe to say that I'm having an absolute blast with the mod so far. Let's take a spin as the Federation, because I love me playing some good guys/humans, so human good guys? Rock and roll.

Plus, come on. Federation starships are just cool. This whole thing is just cool.
