This game works on an unexpanded ZX81 (1k). It is a very impressive and enjoyable 1k tennis game. Unlike PONG your view is not top down, but from aside. You play forward and backwards as well the heigth of the ball is relevant.

You need to win 4 rounds to complete the game.
Each round you need to score 10 points.
Each round the computer will return the ball a bit better.
The serve of the ball switches to the player who did not score a point.

After loading you are the first player to start.
The first player in new game will be the player who lost the round.

To serve a ball you need to stand at the full left side of the field.
You throw up a ball with Z. Wait for the ball to drop and then serve the ball with Q.

To return a ball you press Q or A when the ball is near the player.
Q = hard return
A = soft return

The return is also different when the height of the ball is lower or higher,
this is done by the game.

You move the player with O and P.

Only at your own service you need to be at the far left of the board.

Controls:
Q = hard return
A = soft return
O = left
P = right
Newline = new game

The game was made by Johan "Dr Beep" Koelman in 2023.
