YASSSSSSSSSSS Queen! You can't sit with us! Plastics rise! This character was not any of those. Janis was that cool nerdy girl that wore black and not pink.
Sure give her a spin-off. Maybe she has a history where she tried to be with the plastics in the past, or was bullied by them and gets better revenge. I would take a much darker route. Maybe there were more plastics back in the day, and she one-by-one killed them, and stopped with what remains currently.
You all know the one thing missing from Mean Girls was murder and death and violence. More than just a bus, by the way.
