Surveillance cameras and CCTVs were invented to keep us safe in places where eyes cannot reach. But oftentimes, it probably seems like these vigilant robotic eyes are everywhere. Because of that, many of us can’t help but feel like they’re intruding on our privacy, especially when they’re mounted in places we did not expect to find them. Although, I’m not talking about places like bathrooms and toilets. So, if you ever find a camera in any of the duos, please don’t hesitate to report to the appropriate authorities. However, once in a while, legal CCTVs do catch things that are usually unforgettable. Let’s look at some of them today with the top 10 weirdest caught on surveillance cameras and CCTVs!
Number 10: The “Paneful” Getaway
Today, our first entry was obtained from CCTV footage recorded on March 31st, 2013 in a mall somewhere in Perth Australia. The man you see running off the scene is a would-be thief running off with an expensive handbag he snatched from a woman. Unfortunately, though, he completely missed the automatic door made of expensive commercial glasses along his pathway and headbutted right into it. In other words, he ran full speed and collided into something we can compare to a very hard window. On impact, he knocked himself out and immediately collapsed to the floor. At the funny first instance, several bystanders did come to his rescue, thinking he was just a victim of rough play and not realizing that he was a thief fleeing the mall. But a short while afterward, a large bouncer, which I believed was the security officer on duty, dragged him off the scenes. Needless to say, that’s just one of the reasons you shouldn’t steal in places filled with cameras and glass doors.

Number 9: The Alaskan Lawyer Mystery
Well…let’s dive into the paranormal for now, and the first one we’ll look at on today’s list was recorded in an office in Alaska back in 2018. In the video, the woman you see is named Nicole and she was working alone one evening when a man-in-all-black suddenly appeared in the window. He stood there for a few minutes before talking to Nicole who pulled a gun the moment she heard the man speak. But after a few gestures from the man, Nicole suddenly robotically laid down her guns on the counter and did a few other things. It was more like she was following the man’s order, and after picking up a camera, she left the building with the mysterious man. When other workers returned the next day, Nicole’s purse was left behind with guns on the counter and doors without padlocks. A few days later, Nicole re-surfaced, and she told stories of how she got to a room filled with people that communicate via telepathy. Well… I’m not sure if her story’s true, but the footage we see here doesn’t appear to be fake.

Number 8: Unwanted Housemate
The case here started when Joe Cummings began to notice that foods were missing around his house. Since he and his girlfriends like to prank one another, he asked her about his recent suspicions. But strangely, she swore down to earth that she wasn’t behind it. However, Joe didn’t believe her. So, he planted a camera with hopes to catch her in the act. In all honesty, what he captured was terrifying, even for me. In the video, you can see Joe turning on the camera and leaving the scene. After that, nothing worthwhile happened until midnight when a woman descended right from Joe’s attic into his kitchen. Yes, she had been living there all along. When it’s nighttime like that, she would come out to drink straight from the jug in Joe’s fridge, spit in his zinc, sleep on his couch, and even relax in the room right next to Joe’s. In fact, in the video, there was a time Joe came into the kitchen thus forcing the woman to hide back into the ceiling. When daylight came, the entire truth became clear to Joe and after a long search, the woman was arrested!
