Gone are those days when everything on earth was super big. But then, the story and size of ancient men on earth are not that easy to explain. Some say we evolved from monkeys. Others say we are the children of Adam and Eve. Either way, one thing I know is that prehistoric animals were mega, hefty and the ones we have today hardly match up to their sizes. Based on that, could it be that man himself was also a giant and do some of these giants still exist to date? Well, let's see if we can find some answers in today’s video. Number 10: The Giants on the Catalina Island
Between 1919 and 1928, a man named Ralph Gilden played the role of a real-life Indiana Jones on the Island of Catalina located off the coast of Los Angeles. According to the reports, Ralph excavated about 800 gravesites and dug up nearly 4000 human skeletons. Among them were those that measured 7- 9 feet tall. One time, he also found an imperial funeral site with a giant skull surrounded by 64 infant skeletons. Not only that; he also found several clothing artifacts that could have only been worn by giants. From a princess urn to other sacrificial ornaments, most of the things he found and documented with notes and pictures were very compelling. But most of the bones found crumbled to dust on immediate contact with air. So, only the skulls and some jawbones were left behind. In 1962, he sold his entire collection for $5,000. But unfortunately, museums don’t have catalogs back then. So, no one could prove whether they received it or not. But could Ralph be lying after 5 different funded-expeditions?

Number 9: The Giants of Lompoc Rancho
While it’s easy to explain that a skeleton measuring 8 feet in length could just be someone that’s really tall, how about one that’s estimated at 12 feet or more? Well… giants might be a probable explanation for that one if truly they had existed. But for a team of Mexican soldiers back in 1833 somewhere in Lompoc Rancho, that’s more than a game of chance because they dug up one of them. Or, so they claimed. According to them, they were digging a powder pit one morning when they uncovered the 12-foot skeleton. Along with it were a bunch of carved shells, massive stone axes and blocks covered with writings. Seeing this, the local soldiers panicked believing that the find was a bad omen. As such, they reburied the massive remains in a place where no one would ever find it. But then, local stories told of giants fought by ancestors in the area. Without proof, however, science still calls them cryptids!

Number 8: This Miamisburg Giant
The mysterious mound in Miamisburg is one of the coolest and tallest ancient mounds in the world, although excavation is a little bit less around here. But back in 1869, a partial excavation was done. When they did, they found a skeleton atop which a tree bark stretched over 8 feet downward. Beside it was also a vault. But let’s save that for treasure hunters and focus more on the skeleton which was described to have possessed a giant jawbone and parts with an unusual size of about 9 feet. Or, you can just call it a giant skeleton for short. When a Professor named Thomas Wilson from the Smithsonian Institution got wind of the news, he went over to confirm it and later claimed that the skull found was beyond any reasonable doubt. A short while afterward, the skeleton disappeared like many others on this list. Some say the Smithsonian experts are deliberating destroying evidence about an ancient race of giants. Are these all bogus claims? You decide.
More than 9 years ago, this fleshy bone was discovered by an old man known to be the descent of a grave robber dynasty sometime in the 1980s. As the story went, another man named Gregor paid $300 just so he could see it and take videos of it. But little did he know that this particular fleshy bone which measured 15 inches in length neither belonged to a horse nor a mastodon. Instead, it likely belonged to a human who had died years back, particularly because of its appearance. But for any man to own this finger, 16 feet tall would be an understatement. If I’m not getting things wrong, no historical
